The band’s recent set at the Isle Of Wight festival was filmed in it’s entirety by German TV channel ZDF. As previously mentioned, three tracks from that footage have already been shown by Sky Arts during their festival coverage.

Despite torrential rain, queueing ferries in the Solent and and island in total traffic gridlock, the band still managed to play their 75 minute set to a packed big top at the Isle Of Wight festival last night.
Their set was captured by Sky Arts (channel 129) who broadcast three tracks Boom Boom/Always The Sun/Golden Brown this evening. The footage is available through the red button on the channel too.

The final episode of ‘Punk Britannia’, BBC4’s indepth three part series documenting the history of the UK punk explosion, was broadcast last night. Disappointingly, The Stranglers didn’t feature on any of the programmes apart from a brief interview clip of Hugh in the second episode.

There is yet another new addition to the band’s busy summer schedule. They will be appearing on Saturday 25th August at the Woodstower festival which takes place in Lyon in France. At present, the gig is still subject to contract but further details of the festival can be found on their website.
Gigs
The band’s busy summer itinerary kicks off with the Rock Im Park & Rock Am Ring festivals in Germany this weekend. Their schedule packs in 13 gigs between now and September including festivals in France, Belgium and Estonia. Amongst other UK gigs, it also sees return appearances at both V and Isle Of Wight festivals where the band debuted back in 2008.
